Supplier Code of Conduct
This supplier code of conduct is a set of responsible business standards that Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. and its suppliers agree to respect.
Hindustan Platinum strives to be a great, enduring company by employing business standards and practices that produce social, environment and economic benefits for the industries where we do business. We believe that conducting business responsibly benefits society as well as our various stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, investors, and other industry members.
We, at Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. are committed to supporting and applying fundamental principles in the areas of human rights, health and safety, environmental protection, ethical business practices. These principles, detailed in the Suppliers’ Code of Conduct, are part and parcel of our relations-management practices for our current and future suppliers.
As a supplier, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, the requirements set out in this Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. Supplier Code of Conduct and your contractual obligations to us. Suppliers should establish and enforce internal policies which comply and align with the expectations of this Supplier Code. Suppliers are also expected to apply comparable standards downstream in their own supply chains.
Labour and Human rights:
- Supplier shall treat employees and workers with dignity and respect
- Respect the personal dignity, privacy, and rights of everyone.
- Supplier shall foster a culture and workplace that does not tolerate harassment in any form, including sexual harassment, threats of harassment, or retaliation for reporting harassment
- Refuse to make any person work against his or her will.
- No employment of child labour
- Equal treatment of all employees of the same grade must be a fundamental principle of the supplier’s corporate policy.
- Any kind of discrimination amongst employees of the same level is prohibited.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including in relation to applicable laws on wages, benefits, overtime, working hours, employment practices and labour conditions in the countries of operation.
Health, safety, and environmental management:
- You shall provide a safe and healthy workplace for all your employees and shall conduct your business in an environmentally sustainable way
- A safe and healthy working environment shall include as a minimum the provision of potable drinking water, adequate lighting, temperature, ventilation, and sanitation.
- Provide appropriate safety gear (including PPE) and preventive tools, mechanisms and define protocols for minimizing occupational and safety hazards through training and awareness
- Provide emergency awareness and training accordingly
- Ensure communication of all applicable health and safety standards and policies to all employees and contractors
- Suppliers shall undertake reasonable efforts to have a management system in place to reduce water consumption in their own operations and their value chains
- Suppliers shall prevent and minimize the release of hazardous substances and it should comply with regulatory requirements
- The contamination of soil, air, and water shall be avoided as well as noise pollution, and in any case the supplier must meet the regulatory requirements in this regard
- Suppliers shall undertake reasonable efforts to ensure the safe and compliant handling, storage, transportation, reuse, recycling, and disposal of all types of solid and liquid wastes, and in any case the supplier must meet the regulatory requirements in this regard
Business ethics
We expect the Suppliers to conduct business in a transparent, honest, and ethical manner. We do not tolerate bribery or corrupt practices
- Supplier should refrain from all forms of corruption, extortion, and bribery
- Disclose to Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. all information regarding potential conflicts of interest relating to your activities as a Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. supplier
- Protect all confidential information provided by Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd.
- Respect intellectual property of others, including Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd.
- Adhere to all trade regulations.
- Suppliers to use reasonable diligence with respect to sourcing of materials and to ensure that such sourcing does not violate the human rights and other rules and regulation in connection with the supply of goods and services
The Suppliers shall refrain from
- Posting confidential or proprietary information of Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd., including not posting information relating to work that they are performing for Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd., on any social media platforms or otherwise
- Derogatory, disrespectful, content about Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. on social media sites or otherwise
Suppliers shall demonstrate their commitment to continuous improvement of the standards set forth in this Supplier Code of Conduct by setting internal performance objectives, executing implementation plans and taking necessary corrective actions for deficiencies identified by internal or external assessments, inspections, and management reviews
Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
Preamble
Hindustan Platinum Private limited was incorporated in the year 1961. Since the past few years the Management of the Company, on its own drive and motive has been engaged in the social welfare activities through various charitable organizations. The motto and the spirit of engagement for the social commitment is to contribute and share the welfare with those people and part of the society from the rural to the undeveloped or underdeveloped areas of the Community and the Country
Objectives
- The objective of CS & Sustainability policy is to lay down guidelines for proper functioning of CSR & Sustainability activities to attain development of the nearby society
- To directly/indirectly undertake projects/programs which will enhance the quality of life and economic well-being of the communities in and around our plant and society at large
